Lhoman used his past affiliations with impact-conscious groups like EarthCalm to give credibility to his claims that the damages caused by radiation pollution was not as severe as the majority of scientists said they were. Lhoman has since recanted his views and has written about the reasons for his change of heart in an upcoming book.
